Harbord Park Wading Pool Hours Extended

In order to give working families an opportunity to enjoy Harbord Park's wading pool, the City has agreed to extend the pool hours until 7 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting July 4th.

The extended hours is a three week trial. If used by the community, these hours will be implemented all summer. So use the pool, after work, after school and even after dinner.

Spring Park Improvements
Friends of Bickford Park and its many volunteers have been busy this spring. Already, volunteers have planted a dozen city-donated trees to replace dead or end-of-life tree. We’re happy to tell you that we've secured at least a dozen more native species trees and plants for the fall. Our wonderful volunteers have completed a thorough clearout of underbrush and pruning in the wooded areas to address safety issues and to encourage vigorous tree development. Lastly, we're proud to announce the city's committment to improving our park entrances, which includes, cutting a new flowerbed at the south east corner and placing ornamental stones at entrances. Adopt a Tree at Bickford
Our new saplings need watering this summer and fall! Would you like to adopt one and help it grow into a healthy adult? Please contact Bernd Baldus (416-533-1211) of the Tree Committee to participate in the park's summer watering schedule.

Summer Saturdays in the Park
Your Bickford Park Events Committee is planning fun activities for you and your friends to enjoy this summer. In July and August we hope to bring music, yoga and movies to Bickford. If you have any suggestions, or special talents you’d like to share, please contact Tanya Flanagan (416-516-5383). A schedule of events is being developed and will be shared in or around mid June.
